Michael: Do you read Sylvia Plath?

Eli: Um, no.

Michael: How come?

Eli: Is everyone like required to read Sylvia plath?

Michael: No, no no no no. duh. I just assumed you read Sylvia Plath, since, you know, you look like a pretty profound lady.

Eli: That’s a lovely compliment, Michael. But, no I don’t read Sylvia Plath.

Michael: Why not?

Eli: Well I can’t even understand my own thoughts. Much less hers. But I do admire her, I’ve come across a few lines, and they all make sense. Maybe at some point when my life doesn’t make sense I’ll read Sylvia Plath.
